The common charging method of lead-acid batteries has several constant current charging, constant pressure charging, floating charge, overcharge.
The charging is generally divided into two phases; the first stage is used to see the lead-acid battery capacity setting, and the charging current larger than the capacity can be selected, for example, 60 to 100AH battery can select charging current to use 10A charging current. Further seasonal charging current with 15A, charge for 6 to 10 h. When the lead-acid battery voltage rises to the maximum (i.e., the 6V battery rises to 7.5V, the 12V battery rises to 15V, the 24V battery is rising to 30V), the first stage charging ends.
The second stage continues to charge from 1/2 of the charging current in the first stage, so that the battery is raised (6V to 7.8V, 12V voltage rises to 15.5V, 24V) to 30V). When the battery is fully charged, the battery voltage rises to the rated value, the electrolyte density is no longer changing, and there is a dramatic bubble around the plate.
The battery charging precautions are as follows:
a. Strictly operate according to the specification.
b. When the electrolyte temperature exceeds 40 ° C, the charging current should be reduced; the charging should be stopped when the temperature rises to 50 ° C, and manual cooling is taken.
c. When charging, it is necessary to open the plus, after the charge is charged, and the cover is removed, and the remaining gas escapes from the battery.
d. Each joint in the charging circuit is to be transferred.
Correct discharge. When the battery is fully charged, it can be discharged. Correctly mastering the discharge depth is to ensure that the battery has a good working condition, and the key to extend the service life. Therefore, during the discharge process, the discharge voltage, current, electrolyte density, liquid temperature, etc. should be checked, analyze and determine the discharge depth, and charge it in a timely manner.
The discharge capacity of the battery decreases sharply with the increase of discharge current. If the battery is 100% in the battery at 10h, the capacity of the battery is reduced by 75% when the discharge rate of 3 h is reduced. Therefore, the battery of different uses uses different discharge rates (discharge currents). When the overall voltage of the battery is reduced to 2.18, the electrolyte density is reduced to 1.18 g / cm, the discharge should be stopped, and the reduction of the battery depth discharge is damaged.
Furthermore, when the battery is found, the battery should be charged to restore normal use:
A.24V battery discharge to the voltage below 21 V;
b. After the discharge, it is stopped from 1 to 2 and night without timely charging;
c. Electrolyte mixed with impurities;
d. Polar vulcanization.
After the charging method is that the normal charging is ended, the current is changed by half the current of 10H to continue charging. When the voltage and the electrolyte density are the maximum value, the primary voltage and electrolytic solution density is observed per hour. If there is no change in four times in succession, the bubbles around the plate are severe, and the charge can be stopped. Under normal circumstances, the maintenance of lead-acid batteries is much simpler than cadmium-nickel battery, and the service life of lead-acid batteries is 8 to 10 years. If the use is improper, its life is greatly reduced. The normal parameters of the lead-acid battery are: the density of the electrolyte is 1.285 g / cm 3 (20 ° C), and a single single voltage is 2.1V.
Use and maintain lead-acid battery charge and discharge to pay attention to the following:
1 The wiring should be correct and the connection should be secure. In order to prevent the wrench from being damaged, the battery is damaged, and the negative electrode should be first connected, and then the cable between the two batteries is connected, and finally the iron line is last. When the battery is removed, it is carried out in reverse order.
2 Check each battery parameters per week. The electrolyte liquid surface should always be higher than the polar plate 10 to 15 mm. It is found that the electrolyte liquid is lowered, and the distilled water is supplemented in time, do not expose the surface of the plate, otherwise the plate will be damaged. When the electrolyte is not enough, only the distilled water can only be used, and the river water, well water, tap water is used, which is strictly forbidden to crystallic acid, otherwise the battery is damaged due to excessive electrolyte density.
3 To change the electrolyte density in time according to the region and temperature changes. Electrolytic solutions with less density in areas with high temperatures; the electrolyte density should be large to prevent ice.
4 usually observe whether the battery shell is broken, whether the installation is secure, whether the wiring is tight. Timely remove the dirt, oil stains, and wipe it off the electrolyte on the battery cover, remove the oxide layer on the pole pile and the wire joint, and keep the battery surface clean. The surface of the battery is too dirty, which causes slow discharge, damaging the battery. The battery poles should be protected from oxidation and rust. Tighten the hemorrotective hole and the vent hole should be scattered.
5 When a single battery voltage is less than 1.8V or the electrolyte density is less than 1.15g / cm3, do not continue to be used again, it should be charged in time. Each charge must be sufficient to prevent under charge. In use, you should increase the charging opportunity to keep the battery work in a state in which the battery is sufficient. The fully discharged battery should be filled in 24 hours.
