(1) The initial charging of the new battery
The initial charging is required for the first time for ordinary lead batteries. Its quality is good, directly affects the capacity and life of the battery, so it must be taken seriously. Methods as below:
1 check before charging. Before the initial charging, it should be fully inspected the battery and the subsidiary part. The container has no rupture, and the attachment has no shortage and cleaning treatment.
2 perfusion electrolyte. In accordance with the instructions, the specified density is injected, and there is no transmissive phenomenon in the media monobic battery with 0 ~ 3V DC pad.
3 is charged. Correctly connect the charger and battery, and the charging process is divided into two phases. The first stage of charging current is approximately 1/4 to 1/6 of the rated capacity C20, and the air bubble is discharged into the electrolyte, and the single voltage is 2.4V, and the current is reduced by half, transfer to the second stage, and fully charge the electrolysis The liquid-free bubbles, density and voltage are stable until 2 to 3 h. All charging time is about 60 ~ 70h. The electrolyte temperature must be measured frequently during the charging process, when the temperature exceeds 40°When C, the charging current should be reduced, but the charging time is extended. When the temperature exceeds 45°When C, the charging should be stopped immediately, and the temperature drops to 40°C is then charged below. During the initial charging process, in addition to special cases, it is not interrupted within 20 hours.
4 Adjust the electrolyte and liquid level height. When the battery is close to sufficient electricity, the density and liquid level of the electrolyte must be adjusted. When the density is higher than the specified value, a part of the electrolyte should be appropriately removed, and the interceptive distilled water is added. Conversely, an electrolyte having a density of 1.40 g / cm3 should be added such that the liquid level reaches a predetermined value and charges 30 min. If you still don't meet the requirements, you should be adjusted several times until it is adjusted.
If the rated capacity is not reached after the first charge of the new battery, the charge and discharge cycle should be performed. That is, the discharge of 20H discharge rate (i.e., the current of the rated capacity 1/20) is discharged to 1.75V, and then is sufficient to use normal current. Generally, after 3 charge and discharge cycles, the capacity of the battery can reach 100%.
(2) Normal charging of the battery
The battery is charged in the following cases:
1 The battery is inadequate on the machine.
2 The battery is at a small current discharge.
3 The battery is placed in the room for more than 1 month.
4 The electrolyte consumption is large or too much water evaporation, supplemented a large amount of distilled water.
5 The battery is maintained, and the time is exposed in the air.
6 The battery is over 25% in winter, and more than 50% in summer.
(3) Balance charging of the battery
This difference can be eliminated by equilibrium charging method when the battery is from arrival, electrolyte density, capacity, etc. First, charging the normal charging method, after the end voltage of the battery is stabilized, stop 1H, and the 1/20 current of C20 is changed, charge 2h, stop 1h. Three times, until it sees that the battery of the battery is single-made, the bubble is immediately generated.
