Compared to traditional energy sources, high-power efficiency and environmental fuel cell (MCFC) and solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) are powered. The working conditions of PAFC are as follows:
(1) Working temperature: 180 210, the thermodynamic efficiency of battery stack at higher temperatures below lower temperature;
(2) Working pressure: Usually small capacity battery stacks use normal pressure, large-capacity battery heaps, hundreds of KPa, the efficiency of the battery stack increases with the increase of pressure;
(3) Cooling method: air, water (or water and steam mix), insulating liquid;
(4) Fuel utilization: 70% a 80%;
(5) Oxidant gas utilization: 50% a 60%. The oxygen content in the air is 21%, 50% - 60% utilization indicates that 10% 12% oxygen consumption in the air in the fuel cell;
(6) Reaction gas composition: typical refore gas contains H280%, C20%, and a small amount of impurities such as CH, CO and sulfide.
PAFC's power generation efficiency is 40% a 50%, and the amount of waste heat is quite a lot of heat, and is cleaned, including electricity and heat, and the total efficiency of the system reaches 80%. At present, it is still necessary to do in-depth research for PAFCs in terms of reliability and life.
